The Annual Pattern Day walk from Moneystown Community Centre to Lady's Well Ballymanus Upper on Carrick Mountain will talk place on Sunday 14th August leaving Moneystown at 6pm.

The route is five and a half miles in total (good walking shoes recommended and no dogs allowed). The walk is along the main road and then on Coillte roads. The well is beside a roadway in the forestry.

Lady's Well is an ancient holy well that is marked on the Neville Maps of Wicklow in 1760 as an important site. The well was rediscovered in 2013 and there has been an annual walk every year on or close to the original Pattern Day of August 15th. Everyone is welcome to come along. There will be a short talk on the history of holy wells and other relevant local history stories.

If you want to read a poem, sing a song or play some music please feel free to join in as music singing dancing were all part of the pattern day traditions in the past.
