COUNTY WICKLOW HERITAGE PLAN

The County Wicklow Heritage Plan is the key framework through which Wicklow County Council   implements  a strategic plan for natural, built and cultural heritage in county Wicklow. The plan sets out to enhance the protection, appreciation and knowledge of our heritage through a programme of targeted actions.  It is a partnership plan, initiated and coordinated by Wicklow County Council through the Wicklow Heritage Forum, and is reliant on the ongoing interest and participation of the wider community in county Wicklow for it's implementation.

This website was developed as an action of the County Heritage Plan. Other actions of the heritage plans to date have included the production of publications, the hosting of events, seminars and training courses and the compilation of information on lesser known aspects of Wicklow' heritage. A selection of Heritage Plan projects are displayed in this section along with other information about the Heritage Forum and the Heritage Plan process.
